Cristamor was born from a material obsession. While most crystal brands still work with lead crystal or decorative K9 glass, we chose optical-grade borosilicate - the same material used in telescope lenses and camera prisms. Not because it's easier. Because it's better.

The Science of Light

Traditional lead crystal achieves brilliance through lead oxide, which adds weight and a soft luster - but also toxicity. K9 decorative glass is cheaper but has lower refractive index. Borosilicate crystal solves both problems: lead-free, chemically inert, and over 92% light transmission - higher than traditional lead crystal.

Every pattern begins on paper. Designers study how light travels through crystal, mapping each facet to maximize refraction.

Initial Cutting

The crystal is mounted on a cutting lathe. Diamond-impregnated wheels carve the primary facets into the surface.

Fine Adjustment

The artisan refines each facet. Adjusting depth, smoothing edges, ensuring every line meets with geometric precision.

Final Polishing

Polished using progressively finer abrasives, from coarse stone to cerium oxide. Light passes through like water.
