The Cut’s Story
In 1666, Isaac Newton did something rude to light: he stuck a prism in its path and proved white was actually all seven colors traveling together, and that a piece of cut glass was all it took to make them introduce themselves. Physics never really recovered, and neither did glassmaking. The Clear Prism takes that discovery as its whole personality — K9 optical crystal, the same family of glass used in lenses and prisms in actual laboratories, cut into a faceted tumbler that does to lamplight what Newton’s prism did to sunlight. Pour something amber and the facets scatter it into honey-colored shards across the table. It’s the closest a drink has ever come to a physics demonstration.
