The Pattern’s Story
The eagle has meant the same thing on both sides of the world: the high view, the long strike, the ambition that won’t sit still. Japanese samurai families wore the eagle — *taka* — on crests and banners, believing it sharpened the will; European heraldry carved the same spread wings onto shields and thrones. This glass cuts the two traditions into one piece: the spread-wing eagle of a samurai banner, set into obsidian-dark crystal and framed like a crest. It’s the rare design that an American veteran, a Japanese history buff, and a fantasy novelist would each call their own — for the same reason. Everyone recognizes the bird that answers to no one.

Why an eagle?
In both Japanese and Western tradition, the eagle stands for ambition, vision, and independence — a rare symbol both cultures agree on.
Each pattern is drawn by hand, mapping how light will travel through every facet.
Diamond wheels carve the primary facets. One wrong angle and the piece is lost.
Each facet is refined by hand. Depth, edge, angle - adjusted until geometry becomes art.
Progressive abrasives bring out optical clarity. Light passes through without distortion.
Our crystal isn't just glass. It's K9 optical crystal — selected for its exceptional clarity, brilliance, and precision.
When we set out to create a better whiskey glass, we looked beyond tradition and focused on one thing: light. We wanted a crystal that could reveal the natural color and character of your whiskey through every precisely cut facet.
The result is crystal chosen for clarity and brilliance, shaped by hand and polished by skilled craftsmen. Its optical properties allow light to travel through the glass beautifully, while its hardness supports the crisp, precise cuts that define every Cristamor design.
