Optical-grade crystal achieves over 92% light transmission, significantly higher than ordinary glass (around 85%) and even surpassing traditional lead crystal. This means when light enters our glasses, it passes through with minimal distortion, creating the brilliant, diamond-like sparkle that defines premium crystal.
The secret lies in the material’s purity. Optical-grade crystal is formulated to be free of the impurities and bubbles that cloud ordinary glass. Each batch is tested for clarity before it ever reaches our cutting wheels.
Lead-Free and Future-Proof
Traditional lead crystal contains up to 24% lead oxide. While it produces a beautiful ring and weight, growing health concerns and environmental regulations have made lead-free alternatives increasingly important.
Our crystal is completely lead-free, without sacrificing the qualities that make crystal desirable: exceptional clarity, precise cut definition, and that distinctive resonant tone when tapped. It’s lighter than lead crystal, which actually enhances the drinking experience—a glass that feels elegant rather than heavy in your hand.
